Personal Information

The Privacy Act entitles you to a right of access to your personal information. Personal information collected on this form will be provided by Elections Canada to the returning officers of electoral districts located in your area of residence. The returning officers will use this personal information for the purpose of staffing of election officers' positions during the next general election. In accordance with the Privacy Regulations, your personal information will be kept for at least two years after polling day. It will then be disposed of in accordance with the Library and Archives Canada Act. Your personal information may also be used by returning officers to staff similar positions during by-elections or referendums occurring before the next general election.
